Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Graduate of Nursing School

  • Current unencumbered California Registered Nurse license

  • Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers

  • Two years recent Psych RN experience

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing

  • Three years recent Psych RN experience

  • One year leadership experience

  • Psychiatric Mental Health Certification

The Clinical Nurse Lead - RN position offers great opportunity to widen one's horizon in clinical competencies and nursing leadership. This role is dynamic and offers flexibility and opportunity for teaching, mentoring and leadership. This position demonstrates clinical competence and positive leadership and working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team. We are looking for a candidate who is motivated to participate in quality improvement unit activities, coach staff in compliance with behavior standards, enhancement of clinical performance and oversee daily operation of the department.

Grossmont Psychiatric Assessment Treatment and Healing (G-PATH) is a 15 bed unit at Sharp Grossmont Hospital. Patients 18 and older are admitted on the basis of established criteria and must have a primary psychiatric diagnosis. The unit will have a limit of 23 hours, 59 minutes. The hours of operation will be 24/7. This unit is a comfortable ‘milieu’ where all patients are housed. Each patient is provided his or her own recliner to rest in. The unit is separate from the ED.
