Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

We supply fresh produce and vegetables to grocery stores. As a warehouse worker, you will utilize pallet jacks and RF scanners to pick and assemble orders. You will build stable and well-cubed pallets for shipping, shrink-wrap, and label products/pallets with the correct truck, destination, and other required information. You will also ensure warehouse areas are kept clean, dry, and free from debris.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general labor, material handling, loading, and unloading tasks.

  • Conduct inventory counts and assist with shipping and receiving.

Essential Skills

  • Order picking

  • Shipping and receiving

  • Heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.)

  • Forklift operation

  • RF scanner usage

  • Self-motivation

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a cool environment (35-50 degrees).

  • Flexibility with shift end times as they vary with the seasons.

Work Environment

Our warehouse operates in a cool environment (35-50 degrees) where you will be going up and down aisles to grab products and put them onto pallets. We have two shift options: Option 1: 4pm until the work is done (typically around 1am, but potentially until 4am). Option 2: 11am - 7:30pm (you can leave after you finish an order, but may need to stay late to complete packaging). We offer a 30-minute unpaid lunch break and 15-minute paid breaks. Our team size is roughly 10 employees per shift, all performing similar tasks. The dress code is casual, with most employees wearing sweatshirts and winter hats to stay warm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
