Responsibilities
We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a talented and caring Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join a dedicated multidisciplinary group. The successful candidate will serve a vital function in the Department of Psychiatry & Psychology at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse, WI, providing outpatient care to our patients.
The Department of Psychiatry & Psychology in Southwest Wisconsin is a growing and robust interdisciplinary team comprised of 3 general psychiatrists, 2 child & adolescent psychiatrists, 5 clinical psychologists, 2 neuropsychologists, 6 nurses, 25 masters-prepared therapists, and 4 case managers. Together, this group provides evidence-based diagnostic and treatment interventions to adults struggling with mental health disorders.
La Crosse, WI, is a city of 52,000 with a metro area of 120,000 in the Upper Mississippi River Valley, located between Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, and Madison, WI. The area offers unlimited, four-season recreational opportunities (biking, golf, hiking the bluffs and cross-country/downhill skiing). Qualifications
Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Active Wisconsin RN license. Active Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber license or eligible for licensure. Board Certified PMHNP (Psychiatric-Mental Health) NP certification through recognized national organization (ANCC or AANP). Current BLS Certification and DEA required.
