Carsome Business Intelligence Analyst (Carlist.my) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Job Purpose:

Business intelligence Analyst uses data to figure out market and business trends for iCar Asia business to increase profits and efficiency. The Business Intelligence Analyst works with cross functional teams across the three countries: Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand and gathers this data through a number of ways; from mining iCar Asia's computer data through software and industry trends to help develop a picture of where the company stands in the industry, where they can improve and etc.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible design and maintain data warehouse and data marts.

  • Translate requirements from the business and analyst into technical code.

  • Build complex queries to match specific business requirements.

  • Identify and test for bugs and bottlenecks in the ETL solution.

  • Ensure the best possible performance and data quality.

  • Utilize ad-hoc techniques to perform on-the-fly analysis of data.

  • Maintain and update business intelligence tools by validate accuracy the data.

  • Provide technical support for existing dashboard and reporting/ visualization.

  • Create and maintain documentation including requirements, design and user manual.

  • Responsible prepare dashboard report by analysing and summarizing information and trends.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information System Management or equivalent.

  • At least 3-5 years of experience participating in data warehousing and business intelligence projects.

  • Good working experience of Microsoft BI tools, QlikView, Pentaho BI and MicroStrategy.

  • Knowledge and experience in Tableau and Google Analytics.

  • Experience in any ETL tools: Pentaho, DataStage, SSIS, Informatics.

  • Hands-on-experience with SQL and Google BigQuery including some query tuning, data analysis and integration.

  • Familiarity of technologies like Redshift, Linux and Google Could Computing is desired.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Strong problem solving skills.

  • Solid experience working for a multinational organisation where English is the primary business language and ideally based abroad.

  • Experience in automotive or e-commerce industry.
