About the role
We are seeking a DevOps/DevSecOps Engineer with strong practical experience in cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, and automation.
This is a fully remote role, ideal for a professional who thrives in managing and optimizing complex environments, especially those built on AWS and Kubernetes.
You will work at the intersection of development and operations, supporting cloud-native systems, securing DevSecOps toolchains, and ensuring seamless CI/CD processes. Your expertise will directly contribute to the reliability, security, and scalability of our infrastructure and developer ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Maintain and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure, including services such as EKS, RDS, CloudFormation, VPC, IAM, EC2, and EBS
Support and enhance developer platforms based on AWS EKS and Kubernetes.
Manage deployments, configurations, TLS certificates, secrets, and automation scripts (Linux shell).
Operate and monitor vendor and DevSecOps applications in the cloud (e.g., Artifactory, Confluence, SonarQube, Fortify), including backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Administer CI/CD workflows and self-hosted build agents used in Azure DevOps Pipelines.
Integrate and manage identity and access using technologies such as LDAP, SAML, SCIM, Azure Active Directory, and SSO.
Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and applications using tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and/or Datadog.
Ensure compliance with security best practices and support security tooling (e.g., SAST, SCA).
Provide ITSM support (e.g., ServiceNow) for development tools.
Contribute to automation and infrastructure-as-code efforts using Terraform.
Collaborate with teams on authentication and authorization concepts across platforms.
Requirements
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with AWS services and infrastructure operations.
At least 2 years of practical experience working with Kubernetes (EKS), Helm, and Ingress.
Proficiency in Linux system administration and scripting (Shell).
Strong experience with Docker, Git, and Azure DevOps Pipelines.
Understanding of identity federation standards and directory services (SCIM, LDAP, SAML, Azure AD).
Experience managing and securing certificates and secrets.
Familiarity with DevSecOps tools like Artifactory, Confluence, SonarQube, and Fortify.
Solid knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog).
Awareness of recovery planning, security processes, and ITSM tools.
Practical experience with Terraform (minimum 1 year) is an advantage.
German language proficiency at B1 level is a plus. Basic knowledge of ITIL practices is a plus.
