UL, LLC Region Business Development Manager in South Korea

  • Manages and coordinates on an industry basis with ULs larger customers over all related industries.

  • Position works on strategies with sales managers to generate revenue growth and achieve bookings goals.

  • Responds effectively to urgent and sensitive customer issues.

  • Develops and coordinates executive presentations and de-briefings.

  • Assists industry leadership in the development of global account strategies, goals and plans.

  • Focuses on customer satisfaction, account growth and expansion of services provided, and sustaining customer loyalty for a group of key customers.

  • May provide work direction to other employees in charge of specific customer accounts.

  • Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.

  • Performs other duties as directed.

  • Strategize for Success: Develop a data-driven growth plan for Korea, leveraging your experience.

  • Spearhead Growth Initiatives: Lead key projects, including inorganic expansion and government partnerships, to unlock new markets.

  • Become a Market Guru: Track industry trends, customer needs, and competitor strategies to keep the company informed and competitive.

  • Forge Strategic Alliances: Collaborate with external stakeholders to secure sustainable growth in the Korean market.

  • Bridge the Gap: Work seamlessly with cross-functional teams to execute growth initiatives efficiently.

  • Stay Compliant, Stay Ahead: Maintain deep knowledge of Korean policies and regulations impacting UL Solutions' business areas.

  • Champion the UL Solutions Brand: Advocate for the company's values by engaging with industry associations and shaping market perception.

  • Deliver Measurable Results: Provide regular reports to senior management, showcasing market trends and project progress.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in B2B business development and market analysis.

  • Proven track record of leading or supporting successful company growth plans.

  • Bachelor's degree or above in business, engineering, or related field.

  • Fluent in Korean and English, with exceptional written and verbal skills.

  • Skilled at communicating effectively with diverse audiences, including senior management, clients, and team members.

  • A data whiz proficient in MS Office Suite and adept at utilizing market intelligence resources.

  • Able to articulate complex information clearly and persuasively.

  • Self-motivated leader with strategic thinking, creativity, and critical thinking skills.

  • Comfortable advising and collaborating with senior executives.

  • Committed to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) principles.

  • Deep understanding of the Korean business landscape and cultural nuances.

  • Passion for and knowledge of UL Solutions' target industries (automotive, electronics, and energy).

  • Professional understanding of UL Solutions' TIC and S&A services and solutions.

  • Strong understanding of key global and local market trends, global technology standards, and product regulatory compliance within UL Solutions' target industries.

  • A self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, global environment.

  • An expert at analyzing customer strategies and identifying growth opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of specific industries like Automotive & Future Mobility, Sustainability & ESG, or Energy Transition.

  • Prior experience in a multinational company.

  • Strong grasp of global technology trends in consumer and industrial sectors.

  • Experience analyzing government industrial policies.

  • A history of successful collaboration with industry associations and key stakeholders.
