Job Summary
We are seeking a Sr. Product Specialist (T) with 8 to 12 years of experience in Omni Script OmniPlus Shell scripting VSAM JCL and COBOL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Life and Annuities Insurance. This hybrid role requires a deep understanding of technical and domain skills to drive product success.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and maintenance of complex applications using Omni Script OmniPlus Shell scripting VSAM JCL and COBOL.
Oversee the implementation of technical solutions to meet business requirements in the Life and Annuities Insurance domain.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members on best practices and industry standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new features and enhancements.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Monitor and optimize application performance to meet user expectations.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all technical processes and procedures.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency.
Analyze and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
Qualifications
Must have strong experience in Omni Script OmniPlus Shell scripting VSAM JCL and COBOL.
Must have domain expertise in Life and Annuities Insurance.
Should have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Should possess strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Should be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice to have experience in Agile methodologies.
Nice to have knowledge of cloud technologies.
Certifications Required
Certified in Life and Health Insurance COBOL Programming Certification
