Opportunity

Under the guidance from the Director, Finance, Enterprise, supports the operations of Enterprise Function Teams via training new associates, consolidating actual/forecast/plan, driving simplification of charge outs.

Specific Responsibilities

Business Support

  • Consolidate actual/forecast/plan for Finance, Tech Services, Aviation, Legal and Communications and provide explanations for any changes to spending

Use previous experience to:

  • Provide support to the functional leaders to complete monthly financial results.Review the monthly results to ensure accuracy and explanations of variances from prior periods, plan, and projection.

  • Advise and monitor the functions activities to ensure they are following Corporate Accounting policies.

  • Act as a liaison between Enterprise Finance teams and business units when there are discussions about chargebacks and levels of support.

  • Train and mentor direct reports on details of roles and how to be a business partner.

  • Review the accounting and communication of charge-out methodology. Simplify chargeouts wherever possible.

  • Coordinate calendar cadence for financial planning and forecasting processes and be the front line of reviewing documents for presentations

  • Direct involvement in functional area process improvement projects.

Special Projects

  • Lead process improvement projects with the Finance organization of Kohler Co., which may involve cross-functional teams from all business areas.

  • Lead other projects as needed within the department.

  • Internal Reporting

  • Responsible for reviewing global reporting of functional area financial results.

  • Responsible for providing an overall analysis and final review of monthly and financial plan information for functional areas – and training newer associates how to do this

  • Actively participate with the functional areas to ensure that spending is in line with current strategic objectives of the organization.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

  • This requirement is coupled with a minimum of at least three years working experience in planning or general accounting in an analytical capacity.

  • Requires communication and leadership ability with which to contact broad organizational levels in a financial leadership capacity.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The salary range for this position is $117,000 - $149,500. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
