Description

We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to become part of our team. The role is situated in Knoxville, Tennessee, and it involves carrying out a variety of accounting tasks in a professional setting. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be tasked with managing financial data, implementing systems, and ensuring financial accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage the WorkDay reporting tool Prism as a subject matter expert.

• Conduct heavy reconciliations of financial data transfer to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.

• Identify missing data and add in missing accounts or financial data as necessary.

• Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end close process.

• Carry out bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of banking transactions.

• Manage fixed assets, including the preparation of depreciation schedules and handling asset retirements.

• Write reports and extract financial reporting data for review and decision-making.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks and data analysis.

• Prepare for audit processes and ensure all necessary documentation is in order.

• Leverage your skills as a CPA or University Degree holder in accounting or finance to optimize financial operations.

Requirements • Possess a University Degree in Accounting or related field

• Hold a CPA Designation

• Have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Demonstrated experience with General Ledger management and Journal Entries

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with Workday, Workday ERP, and Workday Integration

• Knowledge of PRISM software

• Experience with Fixed Asset Accounting, Fixed Asset Depreciation, and Fixed Asset Additions

• Proficient in Audit Prep procedures

• Experience in System Implementation

• Ability to act as a Subject Matter Expert in the field of accounting.
