TINDELL'S, INC Counter Sales Team Member - Halls in Knoxville, Tennessee
This position will start out at an hourly rate of
$18/hr.Once fully trained in the position, base pay will be
$16.50/hr.and you will begin earning
commissionon sales as well as your base rate.

BASIC FUNCTION:Responsible for waiting on customers, answering telephone inquiries, some loading/unloading and for the general housekeeping and displays in the store.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides the highest level possible of service to all customers with the main objective of serving our retail customers.
- Answers telephone inquiries pleasantly and promptly.
- Provides customers with information on additional items related to purchases made.
- Maintains up to date knowledge of the products sold, product usage, product prices and new products on the market.
- Handles minor complaints with the objective of solving the problem.
- Listens to a customer's complaint to find out what it will take to satisfy the customer.
- Complies with Company procedures on sales transactions, paperwork, refunds, credit memos, etc.
- Maintains stock, displays and housekeeping for assigned areas.
- Complies with dress specified by Company policy.
- Assists supervisor, other employees as needed.
- Promotes team concept.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE and ABILITIES:
Ability to do math, read orders, follow instructions and complete forms.
Ability to communicate with customers, other employees and supervisors using verbal and written skills.
Knowledge and ability to use safe lifting techniques.
Interpersonal skills.
Good telephone etiquette.
Experience in building materials/ lumber
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to stand for up to 4 hours at a time.
- Ability to lift up to 90 lbs.
- Reach over head to grasp materials.
- Bend, stoop or squat to floor level on a repetitive basis.
- Manual dexterity.
