Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Knoxville, Tennessee

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Knoxville, Tennessee. The role primarily involves managing invoices, intercompany transactions, and accounts receivable in a property management setting. The successful candidate will work directly under the Controller and indirectly under the Senior Accountant, ensuring the smooth operation of our accounts payable function.

Responsibilities:

• Receive, enter and code invoices accurately, ensuring all information is correct before sending for approval.

• Perform check and ACH payments in a timely and efficient manner.

• Handle intercompany transactions, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date.

• Assist with accounts receivables by scanning payments into the system, reviewing for accuracy and ensuring payments are applied to the correct account.

• Manage cash and set up new vendors for ACH payments.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Yardi Software for data entry and invoice processing.

• Conduct account reconciliation and handle any accounts payable queries.

• Oversee the check runs process and ensure all payments are made on schedule.

• Manage the coding of invoices, ensuring all information is correct and up-to-date.

• Handle any queries related to accounts receivable and cash management.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Check Runs and Coding Invoices

• Strong data entry skills

• Familiarity with Invoice Processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Yardi Software, Yardi Property Management, and other Yardi systems

• Knowledge of Intercompany Transaction and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Cash Management skills

• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively

• Adherence to confidentiality and company policy guidelines

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
