Step into Your New Role Kleinfelder is seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager in our Redmond, Washington office.   • Coordinate with multidiscipline team to prepare proposals and execute projects
  • Safely coordinate and execute field exploration programs, construction observation, and associated documentation
  • Complete engineering analysis including: soil and rock classification; shallow and deep foundation capacity, immediate and consolidation settlement; slope stability analysis, seismic hazard evaluation (including liquefaction and lateral spreading), and earth retention systems
  • Partner with internal and external multidisciplinary teams during project development
  • Prepare Geotechnical Engineering reports
  • Prepare construction specifications and drawings
  • Be actively involved during the construction phase of projects
  • Positively interact with client representatives
  • Development of scope of work, project budgets, work breakdown structures, and schedules

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil / geotechnical engineering - Master's preferred
  • Professional Engineer license in Washington
  • 6+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering consulting with extensive experience on infrastructure projects
  • Positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong technical skills and experience with soil-structure-interaction and numerical modeling using FLAC and Plaxis
  • Working knowledge of standard business software including MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Experience with geotechnical software packages including L-Pile, DeepSoil, SHAFT, gINT, GRL WEAP, GEO STUDIO, Slide, Plaxis and FLAC preferred
  • Clean driving record and the ability to pass a drug test required
