Responsibilities
Work Location: Kinston, NC
Coordinates with company customer support representatives, contract administration, purchasing, engineering, quality assurance, traffic, and warehousing (3PL); to insure efficient flow of production materials throughout the plant.
Incorporates planning decisions from external customers and suppliers to reduce material and product variability, and arrive at optimal solutions.
Monitors customer inventory demand and material assets on hand or in transit in order to optimize total supply chain planning.
Manages WIP of fabricated Production parts for Operations; impacting end-item production—enables production scheduling decisions for key stakeholders
Coordinate build revisions with Operations, ME and Planning
Work with ME and Planning to resolve any order discrepancies
Assist warehouse with expediting and distributing backorders to shop
Validate and Quality Control VLM kits, to insure parts are available for assembly production
Process shop credits/Opr credits; maintains O & S reporting
Issue Parts to manufacturing as needed
Qualifications
Requirements:
Associates degree, or higher, in business management, logistics or supply chain management OR minimum of 5 years’ experience with no degree
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a Supply Chain Planning role
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as the focal / customer service representative, regarding inbound and outbound freight
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience with material handling equipment: tugs, forklifts various size and style; overhead crane use; use of hand tools
Minimum 2-3 years working with hazardous material shipping and handling (IATA, IMDG and DOT)
Demonstrated skills and abilities with MS Office, ERPs (Supply Chain Systems), and general end user computing
Must be familiar with ITAR and international import and export shipping requirements
Ability to do manual labor (must be able to stand extended periods, bend, lift up to 50lbs, and squat etc., while doing daily duties)
Exceptional communication and presentation skills / ability to multi-task
Self-starter with an ability to take ownership of processes/projects
