Overview
MHA in Ulster County, Inc. has a Full-Time (35 hours per week) position as a Supported Education Coordinator to assist with the implementation of all aspects of the ACES supported education program at SUNY Ulster. This position provides individualized assistance to all students in the program with admissions and financial aid applications. This position works with the college administration and must maintain current knowledge of academic supports on campus and make appropriate student referrals for these services. This position must complete monthly ACCES-VR reports on students and submit billing forms as necessary to insure prompt payment for services rendered, work closely with MHA’s Finance Department to track ACCES-VR billing and maintain required records and forms on students. Throughout the semester, this position helps students manage the college environment successfully.
The schedule for this position is Mon-Fri 9am - 4:30pm.
The Coordinator makes a pay rate of $20.06 hourly.
Responsibilities and Duties
Process authorizations and intakes of applicants referred to the ACES program.
Assist students individually with the completion of necessary forms (i.e., admissions, financial aid) and with negotiating various college systems.
Develop supportive relationships with students and maintain ongoing, continuous contact with them for as long as they are attending college.
Work closely with MHA’s Finance Department to track ACCES-VR billing
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or Human Service related field and a minimum of two years of experience in providing employment-related services to persons who have disabling conditions.
Familiarity and comfort with the postsecondary setting, college forms, procedures and systems
Must have a clean, valid NYS driver’s license with 6 years driving experience.
