Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. Responsibilities You will monitor the temperature and humidity of buildings. You will monitor the security of all buildings including ordnance processing facilities and acts whenever a discrepancy is noted. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating the requirements for the movement of all special and conventional weapons. You will prepare various documents, records, and reports to demonstrate compliance with weapons accountability and control regulations and requirements during movements. You will be responsible for taking immediate emergency action for situations such as building intrusion, safe haven requirements, incoming explosive shipments, explosive mishaps, crane mishaps, and personnel casualties. You will operate and monitor radios and other communications equipment during casualties, making all emergency notifications, and directing emergency personnel. You will respond to the activities environmental and intrusion control system and initiate any corrective action that is required. You will initiate, and direct required corrective actions, and make appropriate notifications throughout the command structure. You will operate the Security Monitoring System (SMS), which monitors activities Controlled area and administrative buildings for authorized access. You will dispatch Base Operating Services Contract security guards and Department of the Navy Police Officers to building intrusions from unknown causes. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of general experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or NH-01 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: general experience must demonstrate the ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; plan and organize work; AND communicate effectively orally and in writing. Education Education may be substituted for specialized experience for the NH-02 as follows: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: Have successfully completed a four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. -OR- Have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. This announcement uses the Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) Business & Technical Management direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission. This position requires rotating shift work. Several vacancies may be filled.
