Vitalief Director of Client Services, Clinical Research in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania

Overview

Vitalief is a fast growing, “best of breed” Research and Clinical Trial Solutions Company.  We are seeking a problem-solving oriented, “hands-on” strategic solutions professional to become an integral member of our exceptional Client Services Delivery team.  The Director will work closely with senior management and our business development team to gain credibility with our clients by identifying and recommending innovative services and solutions that translates into new business; and successfully delivering our solution engagements in support of our clients in planning and execution of successful clinical trials.

NOTE: This is primarily a hybrid position, with occasional leadership team meetings in King of Prussia, PA, and must be willing to travel on occasion to client locations within the USA.  We are seeking a resource that lives in the EST or CST Zone.

Compensation = Competitive Base Salary + Bonus + Equity Incentives

Responsibilities:

  • You represent the pinnacle of consulting success by creating a high-performance environment, inspiring the respect of clients and engagement teams alike. Through strong leadership and unmatched industry expertise, ensure Vitalief’s success, and shape the industry.

  • Help our clients evolve and adapt to the rapid demands of the research and clinical trials environment through optimizing existing business operations, and continually improving the success of our client’s clinical trial outcomes.

  • Provide sales support by working closely with the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and his team, talking to prospects to help them understand what Vitalief does and help identify client needs.  Then work in unison with Business Development team in creating proposals and be influential in helping close the proposal.

  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition team to source the right team to deliver to proposal.  Help with hiring and qualifying of delivery team.

  • Serve as an engagement leader, working closely with client senior leaders and directing the Vitalief delivery team, ensuring the overall success of the project.

  • Participate in a billable capacity a minimum of 50% of time on client engagements.

  • Work with the CCO, Marketing, and CEO to proactively identify market trends, then package service offerings such as designing and implementing new resourcing models, organizational structures, technologies, and processes to optimize clinical research operations.

  • Effectively position Vitalief as a highly valued, trusted delivery partner with client executives and management.

  • Work with Marketing to assure the Vitalief message is relevant (i.e., website, whitepapers, podcasts videos, etc).

  • Represent Vitalief at relevant industry trade shows and networking events.

    Required Skills:

  • At least 10 years of Clinical Trial experience. Health System/Hospital setting preferred.

  • Proven track record of successfully developing and delivering solutions as a consultant to external clients in the Clinical Research domain.

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.

  • Exceptional leader with a strong executive presence, presentation skills, excellent negotiations skills, and ability to overcome obstacles and objections with confidence.  Ability to influence clients to think “out-of-the-box” by recommending innovative solutions.

  • Proven success in building strong executive-level relationships and experience positively influencing change in a variety of complex environments with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

  • Ability to serve as the single accountable leader in the design and delivery of our innovative solutions engagements by creating collaborative, high performing work environments while continually addressing issues, removing barriers, and ensuring successful client outcomes.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain an extensive professional network, recognize opportunities to enhance and expand executive level relationships, and identify business development opportunities that align with Vitalief’s core set of capabilities.

  • Proven analytical and critical thinking skills required to effectively quantify financial and operational benefits for performance improvement initiatives, identify risks to achieving projected outcomes, and develop and implement solutions to address data gaps or risks. 

  • Delivery team leadership experience including team design, role definition and development, team and culture building, coaching/mentoring, and performance management of team members.

  • Prior P&L responsibility is a plus.             

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

  • Highly driven, results oriented, competitive, positive person who thrives in a small, team oriented, fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.  Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
