Red River Trainer in King George, Virginia
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Trainer to join our team to train, educate, grow, and develop the internal program and customer teams, and improve individual and group performance on large-scale Department of Defense programs. As the Trainer you will evaluate current and future training needs and practices, develop and deliver training plans, and report the results and make recommendations for improvement. You will also administer the “train the trainer” program to expand the customer’s internal training team and enable the customer to deploy training internally. This position requires 25% on-site time in King George VA and travel in the Maryland, Virginia, and DC area.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in education, business, human resources, information technology, or related field or applicable work experience
Secret security clearance (include clearance on resume)
Certification from talent and training associations
Six years of experience as a Training Manager, preferably in the government sector
Track record in designing and executing successful training programs
Experience with technologies and best practices for instructional manuals and teaching platforms
Train the trainer experience - experience in teaching colleagues on how to train others - Excellent communication and leadership skills
Desired Certifications:
Certified Professional in Training Management
Human Resources Management
Instructional Design Certificate
Associate Professional in Talent Development/Management
Responsibilities:
Manage the training and educational programs for the Internal Program Team and for the Department of Defense customer organization
Conduct surveys and interviews to identify training needs, and create training strategies, initiatives, and material to meet needs
Analyze, identify, and administer the most effective training medium and methods for specific individuals, groups, and topics
Stay abreast of evolving training methodologies
Evaluate the appropriateness of contracting third party vendors to deliver training and coordinate with third party vendors when utilized
Coordinate, monitor, and report enrollment
Analyze training program effectiveness and submit reports and recommendations to Program leaders
Administer and report on the train the trainer program
As a Trainer, you will play a key role in administering the training program to improve individual and group performance in large-scale Department of Defense programs. You will work in a collaborative and dynamic environment, interacting with various internal and external stakeholders.
