Position overview:

Facilities Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance and improvement of the facilities in our manufacturing plant. You will be responsible for fault finding, repairs and managing external service providers delivering preventative maintenance on the sites facilities.

Key responsibilities include:

Review and monitoring of current processes to optimize efficiency in the production process.

Scheduling of routine maintenance.

Troubleshooting any issues with the plant utility systems, using blueprints and installation documentation.

Writing of internal SOPs for relevant areas.

Design of new processes or procedures across the facility and analyze potential improvements.

Training internal staff on safety procedures.

Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.

Coordinating and overseeing contractors performing maintenance activities.

Building air condition and water systems maintenance

Vacuum pump and compressor servicing

Cooling system maintenance contract.

Fixed electrical testing, Pat testing, RCD testing, Lighting protection

What are we looking for:

Secondary technical or higher technical education

Apprenticeship trained in electrical engineering

At least 3 years of experience as a facilities engineer or in a similar role

Strong electrical engineering knowledge, reading drawings and fault finding

Working knowledge MS Office

Knowledge of the building process and construction principles

Knowledge of relevant regulations and building codes
