KENOSHA HUMAN DEVELOPMENT SERVICES Residential Stabilization Worker FT 3rd in KENOSHA, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Assist in providing client services in a wide variety of fields, such as psychology, rehabilitation, or social work, including support for families. May assist clients in identifying and obtaining available benefits and social and community services. May assist social workers with developing, organizing, and conducting programs to prevent and resolve problems relevant to substance abuse, human relationships, rehabilitation, or dependent care. Meet with youth groups to acquaint them with consequences of delinquent acts. Observe and discuss meal preparation and suggest alternate methods of food preparation. Observe clients\' food selections and recommend alternate economical and nutritional food choices. Oversee day-to-day group activities of residents in institution. Provide information or refer individuals to public or private agencies or community services for assistance. Submit reports and review reports or problems with superior. Transport and accompany clients to shopping areas or to appointments, using automobile. Visit individuals in homes or attend group meetings to provide information on agency services, requirements, or procedures. Consult with supervisor concerning programs for individual families. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Experience working with youth at risk or their families 2. Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, in the English language 3. Must have reliable transportation and valid driver\'s license with good driving record 4. Must carry own auto insurance with at least 100,000/300,000/100,000 coverage 5. Ability to maintain records and document case notes daily 6. Ability to give and accept feedback as a part of a team 7. Ability to traverse within the workspace and community frequently 8. Ability to ascend/descend stairs 9. Ability to transport at least 25 pounds 10.
