As part of the Lamb Weston University Recruiting Internship Program, Interns work towards completing a Capstone project and are assigned a mentor who will guide and evaluate performance. A skilled mentor with be assigned to the intern for the duration of the internship. This mentor will provide training and complete weekly reviews to assess progress and answer questions. Interns will be assigned projects based on their skill sets and area of interest. Projects and duties that may be assigned include but are not limited to: Process Support (Utilities): * With a focus on improving efficiencies of our plant equipment, this position will utilize existing tools and apply engineering principles to develop the structure, process, and plan to improve reliability and efficiencies in the manufacturing process support areas of boilers & steam systems, as well as refrigeration systems. * Work independently and engage with current Lamb Weston staff across different departments, in addition to following industry standards in the execution of assignments * Assist in updating and maintaining specifications for HVAC equipment and components, including air handling units, ductwork, insulation materials, and filtration systems. * Research industry standards, codes, and regulations related to HVAC system design and engineering. * Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure specifications meet project requirements and comply with relevant standards and guidelines. * Gain knowledge in boiler feedwater chemicals, including their types, applications, and effects on boiler performance. * Support the engineering team in reviewin
