Genesis Healthcare Manager-Maintenance Corporate in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania

The Corporate Maintenance Manager will perform all maintenanceduties at the corporate campus. Responsible for making recommendations for themaintenance and repair of the physical plant, equipment, and grounds. Makerecommendations for life safety code corrections at the campus. Obtain and/or reviewestimates for certain repairs and renovations of the physical plant and physical plant’sstationary equipment. Provides recommendations for both capital and operating budgets.Perform other comparable tasks as approved by the Campus Community RelationsDirector.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:1. Surveys the campus as required to insure preventative maintenance programsare being adhered to;2. Surveys for general maintenance and upkeep of the campus and equipment.Perform necessary repairs and/or replacements as directed, when the expertiserequired is above the capabilities of in-house maintenance staff;3. Monitors progress of work through written reports as necessary;4. Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to beused in the Maintenance Department at the corporate campus;5. Assists in the training of staff in maintenance when requested;6. Assists the Maintenance Department in the resolution of problems whenrequested;

  1. Repairs or installs equipment as requested;8. Reviews all reported life safety code deficiencies. Make recommendations, and ifnecessary, assist in their corrections. Recommends the most expedient and costefficient method of correction. Estimate cost to effect corrections and makerecommendations to the Campus Community Relations Director;9. Makes recommendations and assist in the implementation of changes in policies andprocedures with regard to Maintenance Department;10. Reviews certain proposals concerning equipment installations, physical plantrepairs, and renovations, and recommends acceptable cost-efficient solutions asrequested;11. Makes recommendations and develop cost estimates on items to be included in thecapital items budget when requested;12. Assists Property Manager in peer reviews and report findings to CampusCommunity Relations Director;13. Reviews preventative maintenance manual to assure compliance;14. Performs such other duties as assigned;15. Concerns his/herself with the safety of all corporate center customers in order tominimize the potential for fire and accidents. Also, ensures that the corporatecampus adheres to the legal, safety, health, fire and sanitation codes by beingfamiliar with his/her role in carrying out the campus’s fire, safety and disaster plansand by being familiar with current MSDS;16. Remains on-call for emergencies seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day;17. Performs related duties as requested.

Qualifications:

  1. High school degree or equivalent.2. Related Technical School degree and/or five years’ experience in physicalplant repairs, maintenance, and mechanical systems.3. Experience in management and training of maintenance personnel.4. This position requires that the employee is able to read, write, speak and understandthe spoken English language to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our patients andvisitors at the work site when responding to their medical and physical needs.5. Must provide verification of TST (tuberculin skin test) as required by state law andin accordance with Company policy. TSTs will be administered at the work site ifrequired.

6.HVAC I and II Certification and mechanical background preferred.
