Robert Half Network Engineer in Keene, New Hampshire

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Network Engineer in the Wholesale Distribution - Dur Goods industry, based in Keene, New Hampshire. The selected candidate will be entrusted with the integrity of our LAN/WAN network, including remote warehouse and data center locations. You will collaborate closely with internal technical teams to implement new technologies and provide operational support.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor the integrity, operation, and optimization of the WAN, LAN, Wireless, VPN, and networks for the enterprise.

• Troubleshoot advanced incidents or direct issues to appropriate stakeholders for resolution.

• Design, plan and implement approved projects.

• Create and maintain documentation of network solutions, incidents and general knowledge base.

• Identify and map network requirements for applications in collaboration with development teams.

• Provide timely responses to assigned tickets and update case management system accordingly.

• Work with security office to respond to vulnerabilities in the network environment.

• Utilize skills in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, Configuration Management, Firewall Technologies, Network Engineering, Cisco CCNA, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Network Engineering.

• Proficient in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Checkpoint, and Firewall Technologies.

• Experience with Cisco ASA and Cisco Routers.

• Skilled in Configuration Management.

• Possesses a Cisco CCNA certification.

• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.

• Proven track record in Wholesale Distribution - Dur Goods industry.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex network issues.

• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
