The Opportunity

  • Advise, promote and monitor the safe carrying out of work in the workplace, promote a ‘talk not tick’ culture for all HSSE related activities

  • Respond to emergency call outs and 'make-safe' work situations. Track statutory compliance requirements for the service stations, to verify that work mandated by government regulations is completed.

  • Carrying out supplier accreditation in conjunction with HSSE team for all new suppliers and maintain a re-accreditation system aligned to the contract requirements.

  • Engaged in contract management activities to actively manage suppliers and where applicable support the purchasing function and be able to complete ‘spot buys’

  • Ensure through service delivery team, Asset Condition Surveys of the service stations are conducted within their area of responsibility

  • Ensure, through the service delivery team, that asset data is updated on a regular basis

  • Prepare for bi-weekly and monthly meetings with customer and CBRE team and discuss operational performance. Be confident to discuss issues, analyse and understand trends within data, and be able to propose resolution actions if required.

  • Ensure field staff adheres to annual planning cycle, this includes understanding the phasing of spend over the year, the allocation of costs to agreed cost structures and the supplier spend profile.

  • On a monthly basis be able to articulate variance in actual spend vs. planned spend and be competent in adjusting forecasts to take into account the latest available information. Be able to discuss finance performance with management and the customer

  • Be confident in making decisions based on analysis carried out or provided and to see these decisions through, whilst ensuring the best interests of both CBRE and its customer are maintained.

  • Verify invoices for work undertaken at service stations to validate the costs incurred are as invoiced.

  • Assess the extent of equipment repair or replacement requirements necessary at service stations and make recommendations for the most efficient and economic means of carrying out the required work.

  • Carry out quality checks of recently completed maintenance and repair work and repair work to ensure work is carried out properly. Carry out quality checks on work in progress and check all major repair and replacement work to ensure that work is carried out properly.

  • Liaising with the Project Management team to ensure projects are delivered with minimum disruption to sites and that all relevant equipment data is received in a timely manner from PM team and updated into Maximo.

  • In conjunction with the Supply Chain Manager and Procurement Partner, develop and monitor the procurement strategy, to include suppliers which are going to be re-tendered, re-negotiated, those that need closer management and contingency plans for key suppliers.

  • Pro-actively manage the supplier base, ensure regular operational meetings are held to review work performance against contracted requirements.

  • Own the HR process in the account; the field ROM’s will report to the Lead ROM as will the service delivery, service coordination, call activation and finance teams

  • Proactively manage the call centre performance ensuring the team is well utilized.

  • On a monthly basis be able to provide finance and operational performance reporting, plus variance analysis to the Contract Delivery manager (CDM). The Lead Operations Manager should be able to clearly articulate why variances are occurring and provide clear action plans to address performance variance.

  • Where applicable, through the Mobile Technician Supervisor (MTS), ensure delivery of the day to day activities of the Mobile Technician team etc.

  • Involvement in Annual budget or financial business dimensions that the job either directly controls or indirectly influences. This position has direct financial accountability, and controls the Total Annual Opex Budget.

  • Pro-actively manage through Supply Chain Engineer, all regional warehouses records are maintained and up-to-date and all assets are updated in FMP and FAR.

  • Ensure asset movements are properly recorded and reported to the client with update in the FMP and FAR to park relevant asset at designated cost centre.

  • Ensure through Supply Chain Engineer, all sites explosive cases are timely tracked and responded with closure of cases as per given deadline and consistently follow-up with relevant stakeholders for closure of assigned actions.

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Education Bachelors in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil)

Experience Experience in Facilities Maintenance activities with a strong HSSE management. Experience in maintaining Fuel Station sites and petroleum industry knowledge would be an advantage

Languages Strong verbal and written communications skills in English language
