What you'll do... :

JOB SUMMARY

Work closely with senior, lead or principal software engineers to design, develop and maintain software components and products that support H&R Block business applications. Create and execute unit tests using xUnit and Moq and address defects. Create and maintain documentation on the internal architecture of the system and design approaches using Microsoft Visio, OneNote and Word. Participate in technical design and code reviews in Azure DevOps for all new enhancements and maintenance work delivered. Understand business and functional requirements and produce technical specifications and product requirements. Maintain and improve current knowledge on the latest technologies relevant to the role regarding algorithms, language, design methodology, third-party development tools, application platforms, hardware compatibility and operating systems. Assist junior developers with following coding standards and guidelines as configured in the SonarQube.

What you'll bring to the team... :

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related field. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s equivalent based on a combination of education, training and experience as determined by a professional evaluation service.

Two years of software development lifecycle experience to include:

  • Design and develop applications with Repository Pattern, Factory Pattern, Builder Pattern and Template Pattern, and microservices and Restful Web APIs using .Net Core.

  • Visual Studio to write code.

  • Create Single Page Applications (SPA) with Angular and Typescript.

  • Bootstrap and Angular Material for CSS/SASS.

  • Azure Cosmos DB (NoSQL DB) as data storage.

  • Azure Data Studio to create queries and Azure App Insights for querying application logs.

  • Azure App Service for hosting Web APIs.

  • Azure Key Vault for storing secrets/certificates.

  • Azure Service Bus for communicating between microservices.

  • Azure DevOps for CI/CD and version control tracking.

  • Develop background services, CRON jobs and Azure Function Apps with .Net Core.

  • Terraform for deploying cloud resources.

  • Unit testing with xUnit and Moq.
