GE Aerospace Senior Procurement FLIGHT DECK Leader in Kansas City, Missouri

Job Description Summary

The Senior Procurement FLIGHT DECK Leader is responsible for overseeing the development and performance management of sources and suppliers within GE Aerospace. This role requires a deep understanding of procurement processes, supplier relationship management, and lean manufacturing principles. This Senior Leader will work closely with suppliers to ensure they meet GE Aerospace's standards for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC). Key responsibilities include:

Job Description

  • Lead a team of up to 10 individual contributors and/or leaders.

  • Developing and implementing strategies to optimize supplier performance and ensure alignment with GE Aerospace's goals.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain.

  • Utilizing lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement in supplier processes.

  • Monitoring supplier performance metrics and conducting regular reviews to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

  • Leading initiatives to enhance supplier capabilities and drive innovation in procurement practices.

  • Ensuring all procurement activities adhere to GE Aerospace's safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement, supplier management, and lean manufacturing.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Must be willing to travel up to 50%.
