DOWNTOWN COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT Road Warrior Ambassador in Kansas City, Missouri

Tasks:

Working under direct supervision, with some latitude for independent initiative and judgment, the ROW Ambassador typically performs the following duties, including but not limited to:

Must wear company-issued uniform and safety gear at all times Responsible for clean and neat appearance of uniform, including shirt, pants, jacket, hat, scarf, belt, and shoes/boots Remove litter from along the Missouri highways and underpasses Locate and paint or remove graffiti from structures in the public right of way Removal of unauthorized camps

Required/Desired Qualifications:

Positive and friendly attitude Demonstrate experience with public contact positions Maintain high quality in all work performed Excellent interpersonal skills Must follow instructions Able to self-motivate and have self-accountability with minimal supervision Must be willing and able to walk on rough terrain and lift or carry moderately heavy items Able to work day and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays Successfully pass a pre-employment test: drug screen Physical requirements include bending, walking, lifting, and carrying up to 25lbs on a regular basis Work outdoors in less-than-ideal weather conditions Practice safe work methods at all times

Human Resources:

The Road Warrior Ambassador will have daily contact with the following:

RWA Supervisor or Lead ambassador All Ambassadors Local government and social service agencies Retailers Property owners Management Companies Office workers Visitors/ conventioneers Residents

Accountabilities:

Accountable for the proper and effective discharge of duties as described in the position description. In addition to any duties and performance standards enumerated in this position description, the CIDs requires full and consistent compliance with all policies, standards, requirements, and guidelines in the CIDs Employee Handbook.

Work Environment: The work environment is primarily outdoors. The jobs essential functions require the employee to bend, walk, lift, and carry in weather and climatic conditions. The duties described in this position description are representative of those the employee will be expected to perform daily. Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the job's essential functions.

Hours and Schedule: The RWA Ambassador shift assignment will be provided during orientation. The normal operating hours for the Road Warrior Crew department are 8 am- 4:30 pm Monday through Friday with two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch period.
