Are you someone who’s passionate about supporting others and creating a positive, healing environment? We’re looking for an enthusiastic Mental Health Technician to join our amazing team on the Mental Health Unit!

As a Mental Health Technician, you’ll be working hand-in-hand with our Licensed Nursing Staff, providing patient care and helping create a therapeutic space where people can thrive. Whether you're assisting with daily activities or providing a listening ear, you’ll be making a real impact every single day.

What You’ll Be Doing:

✔️ Helping patients with daily activities and providing direct care under the supervision of our awesome nursing team

✔️ Keeping the environment supportive, safe, and positive for everyone

✔️ Taking on a variety of duties (from clerical tasks to helping in a clinical setting) – no two days are the same!

✔️ Using your skills and compassion to help patients feel at ease and supported

Minimum Requirements:

✔️ High school diploma or equivalent

✔️ Must obtain BCLS certification within 120 days of hire (and keep it current for continued employment)

✔️ Clearance through the Family Care Registry

✔️ Completion of training as directed through orientation and/or by Leadership, Management, or Educators in the established timeline

✔️ Department orientation with classroom and clinical training equivalent to Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) regulations—or meet specific background criteria as listed below:

Unlicensed Assistive Personnel training requirements can be waived if the employee demonstrates competency in required content areas.

Must meet one of the following:

✔️ Enrolled in a professional or practical nursing program and completed a fundamentals of nursing course

✔️ Was a nursing licensure candidate who failed to pass the state licensure exam in the past 3 years

✔️ Certified as a nursing assistant per state regulation

✔️ Certified or trained in UAP curriculum

✔️ Has documented experience as a nurse assistant, EMT, or surgical technician in the past 3 years

✔️ Completed UAP training in Missouri within the last 3 years

✔️ Completed a professional or practical nursing program outside the U.S. and awaiting licensure in this country

✔️ UAPs from staffing agencies must comply with training requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

✔️ Experience in patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ambulation, feeding, etc.)

✔️ Previous mental health experience

✔️ BCLS certification
