About the Role:
The Material Handler I position at Load King in Kansas City is essential for ensuring the efficient movement and management of materials within the facility. This role involves receiving, storing, and distributing materials to support production and shipping operations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring that materials are readily available for production needs. Additionally, the Material Handler I will be responsible for adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Ultimately, this position contributes to the overall productivity and success of the manufacturing process.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) safely.
Basic understanding of inventory management and material handling processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a material handling or warehouse environment.
Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.
Familiarity with inventory management software or systems.
Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect incoming materials for quality and accuracy against purchase orders.
Store materials in designated locations and maintain accurate inventory records.
Prepare and distribute materials to production lines as needed, ensuring timely availability.
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and operational standards.
