The Financial Manager position is a dynamic Finance-based role immersed in our Global Facilities Division. The ideal candidate for this role enjoys engaging directly with the business and can alternate seamlessly between detailed analysis and executive level strategy and communication.

The Global Facilities Financial Manager is an integral member of the GFS leadership team and in addition to the responsibilities listed below, the Financial Manager focuses on developing and presenting ad hoc financial analyses – driven by their independent observation of trends and needs within the business unit as well as GFS leadership requests. Presentation audiences range from executive leadership team, entire division, market segments and project managers.
Key Responsibilities as assigned:
Division Financials
Collaborate with executive leadership team on defining and implementing division goals
Collaborate and implement best practices within the division
Collaborate with development of annual business plan and 4th quarter forecast
Monitor and manage monthly financial results
Ad Hoc requests to support business goals of executive leadership
Proposal Efforts
Assist teams with proposal efforts – determine pricing strategy, evaluate profitability
Review contract terms & conditions
Financial Data Analysis and Training
Maintain and leverage ongoing knowledge of accounting systems and data reporting capabilities
Execute reporting requirements including coordination with Accounting, Marketing, and other groups to achieve reporting goals
Present financial trends and conceptual training to various division audiences
Corporate Financial Reporting
Coordinate with the corporate reporting team to understand overhead results
Liaison for material revenue recognition issues/discussions within the division
Provide guidance on key project financial forecasts
Share best practices developed within the division with corporate reporting team
Mentor and develop corporate support professionals
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of 11 years private experience or 8 years public experience; 3-4 years of construction engineering industry experience preferred.
Self-motivator with strong written and verbal communication skills .
Ability to balance and prioritize multiple day-to-day and ongoing projects simultaneously.
Proficient in Excel.
Preferred (but not required):
Experience accounting for contracts in the construction/engineering industry with exposure to percentage of completion revenue recognition (or software revenue recognition)
Experience with Oracle and Microsoft Power BI
One year of additional credit given for CPA or MBA
