What would I be doing?
Located just east of downtown Kansas City, Ameristar Casino and Hotel Kansas City is a Midwestern entertainment hub that offers something for everyone. Ameristar has one of the largest casino floors in Missouri, amazing dining venues, a newly renovated luxury hotel and more. Ameristar also offers convenient parking in a five-level, 2,660 space parking structure with an enclosed, climate-controlled walkway to the casino and entertainment center.Ameristar Kansas City is currently looking for Cooks to join our amazing culinary team. Successful candidates for this rolewill be able to work in a fast paced environment and prepare delicious food according to menu.
Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Properly prep all items and workstations, check quality of ingredients and complete opening, closing and side duties assigned by supervisors
Ensure work procedures, quality standards, recipes and menu specifications are adhered to according to guidelines
Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
Maintain a clean, sanitized environment that exceeds Health Department regulations
Coordinate and communicate orders with dining room staff
Maintain all training and be in constant communication with Lead Cook and/or Sous Chefs
Maintain a well-groomed, neat and clean appearance
Work effectively with coworkers and maintain a supportive environment
What are we looking for?
REQUIREMENTS:
Previous experience as cook helpful, but not required.
Ability to multitask and follow directions
Maintain a positive attitude
Be dependable and report for assigned shifts on time.
Diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage
