Aston Carter Controller in Kansas City, Missouri

Great Controller opportunity with a small but growing company! Our client has grown over 650% in the past 5 years and continues to grow. Manufacturing industry experience is highly preferred and need someone who has been in a manager level accounting role. The role is very hands-on and will have 2 direct reports. Job Description:

  • Providing analysis, management reporting, planning, and accounting support.

  • Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.

  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Budgeting and forecasting.

  • Periodic results commentary.

  • Creating and preparing financial analysis.

  • Product cost analysis.

  • Track and communicate capital expenditures.

  • Excess and obsolete inventory review.

  • Ad hoc reporting.

  • Cash management.

  • Tax management with support of outside CPA.

  • Risk management (insurance, OSHA compliance, asset protection.)

  • Human resources management (ADP payroll.)

  • Oversee physical inventory accuracy.

  • Multi-state sales tax management (18 states currently.)

  • Establish and maintain KPIs.

  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of strong accounting experience

  • Experience working in a manager level accounting role

  • Bachelors in Accounting required

  • Manufacturing experience highly preferred
