Boyd Gaming CAGE CASHIER in Kansas City, Missouri
What would I be doing?
Located just east of downtown Kansas City, Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City is a Midwestern entertainment hub that offers something for everyone. Ameristar Casino boast one of the largest casino floors in Missouri, amazing dining venues and a newly renovated luxury hotel. Ameristar also offers convenient parking in a five-level, 2,660 space parking structure with an enclosed, climate-controlled walkway to the casino and entertainment center. Ameristar is seeking a Cage Cashier to join our team. The successful candidate will provide excellent guest service, safeguard company funds by maintaining an accurate cash count at all times. This is a highly visible role and the ability to provide excellent service to our guests and team members is essential.
Responsibilities
High attention to detail.
Strong organization and communication skills
Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
Provide an outlet of sales and redemption of chips for internal and external guests (ex. main bank, fill bank and jackpot/fill window)
Redeem gaming instruments, cash checks, and supply accurate information to guests
Assure the security of company funds
Maintain and assure the proper routing of the department’s paperwork.
Balance the window impress total, sell checks and gaming instruments to the main banker
This is a uniformed position, which requires that team members are in compliance with unformed appearance standards while on duty
What are we looking for?
Required Knowledge and Skills
Ability to communicate, understand and write English
Ability to work with interruptions
Excellent math skills are required
Must have ten-key (calculator) skills
Must have good communication and guest service skills
Data entry/computer skills are required
Required Behaviors
Always conduct oneself in a manner that reflects a positive and professional image
Maintain a high level of personal integrity and moral conduct free of questionable association.
Must be prepared to work over-time, nights, weekends and holidays.
Ability to work in a fast paced 24/7 casino environment.
Required Education and Work Experience
High School diploma or GED required
Some college classes or degree preferred
Previous casino cage or cash handling experience preferred
