Manual Machinist
1st shift - Pay Rate $28 - $35/hr.
Job Description
As a Machinist, you will use a wide variety of machine tools and techniques to perform precision milling operations, utilize dynamic balancing equipment, engage in metalizing, ensure accurate sizing, and safely operate various tools. You will also handle heavy equipment with care and collaborate with other departments to assist with both skilled and general duties.
Responsibilities
Perform precision milling operations such as drilling, tapping, and boring with engine lathes.
Utilize dynamic balancing equipment to fine-tune mechanical assemblies.
Engage in metalizing (metal spraying) to repair and enhance components.
Ensure accurate sizing using advanced measuring tools.
Safely operate a variety of tools, including band saws, grinders, and belt sanders.
Handle heavy equipment with care, following safety protocols.
Collaborate with other departments to assist with both skilled and general duties.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in manual machining, including the use of manual lathes and mills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
2+ years of experience in manual machining.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with dynamic balancing equipment.
Knowledge of metalizing (metal spraying) techniques.

Work Environment
The position is based in a non-climate-controlled machine shop equipped with overhead cranes. Safety protocols are strictly followed to ensure a secure working environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $72800.00
Union position - pays 100% of health benefits for them and their whole family which is the equivalent of about $7+/HR.
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Kansas City,KS.
