VCA Animal Hospitals Client Service Representative Lead in Kaneohe, Hawaii

VCA Kaneohe Animal Hospital is seeking Client Service Representative Lead to join our team! We are looking for a personal yet highly professional “service extraordinaire” capable of delivering our mission to our clients and their pets. We are specifically looking for Full-Time support; shifts range throughout the week, fulfill a forty (40) hour work week and are based on the needs of the hospital.

Closing (730p) and weekend availability is a requirement.

This position pays $19.00 - $21.00 per hour dependent on experience, education, and/ or certification.

Why We Need You As the face of VCA Kaneohe:

The CSR sets the tone for the practice as we build and maintain each client’s trust and confidence in our abilities. In addition, to leading, guiding and encouraging his/her team to ensure daily duties run smoothly. The CSR is the pivot around which the hospital operates and is responsible for:

  • Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and ensuring clients waiting in the lobby are being monitored so wait times are limited.

  • Scheduling and confirming appointments.

  • Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.

  • Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.

  • Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.

  • Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control).

  • Managing electronic medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.

  • Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside.

  • Working in a multifaceted, fast-paced environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent client service + interpersonal skills

  • Ability to take and give direction

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Must be friendly, outgoing, “people-oriented”

  • Must to able to give feedback and coaching in a professional manner in the moment or after partnering with senior leadership

  • Identify and provide recommendations for potential problems, non-routine situations, work flow processes, and protocols.

  • 2 years of experience in the veterinary field preferred

Authority:

  • Scheduling appointments

  • Assist the CSR Manager and Supervisor with training and mentoring during your every scheduled shift.

  • Making sure the day-to-day flow of the front office floor is running smooth

  • Authority to delay disputed charges until further review by the CSR supervisor and CSR Manager

Physical Requirements :

  • Dependable attendance is required and must fulfill no less than 30 hours per week in order to maintain Full-Time status, health benefits and Full-time pet discount

  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds

  • Must be willing to work long or irregular hours under pressure conditions

  • This position requires the ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a minimum 8-hour day.
