Stryker Material Handler II - 1st Shift - $23.25/hr in Kalamazoo, Michigan
Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 9:30am-6:00pm
Potential for overtime as needed
What you will do -
As a Service Warehouse Operator, you will be responsible for performing the physical and/or administrative/physical tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment under minimal supervision. You will also:
Work with quality and production to manage the process of moving parts and materials throughout the manufacturing plant
Maintain a computerized inventory system, reconciling discrepancies as required
Operate a variety of material handling equipment which may include, but not limited to: forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies
Work with quality technicians and logistics material handlers to ensure correct component identification and traceability
Conduct fact finding and problem solving as required
Assist with miscellaneous duties and projects as directed
Take responsibility for set-ups, work preparation, clean up, and quality assurance of own work and work-area
Commit to quality by striving for reliability and quality in our products, continuously searching for ways to enhance performance and meeting all training and documentation criteria
What you need –
Required
High School Diploma or GED/equivalent
At least 2 years experience with manufacturing or warehousing environment
Ability to read and write to review documentation and utilize inventory system accurately
Ability to lift or maneuver up to 50 pounds regularly
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, sit, or stand as needed
Preferred
Experience with Systems Applications & Products (SAP) or with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
Experience with order processing, analyzing/resolving customer or operations issues, and/or communicating detailed product information are a plus
