Integrated Services of Kalamazoo Adult Mental Health/Substance Use Therapist in Kalamazoo, Michigan
Do you have a passion for providing confidential mental health, addiction and co-occurring counseling services in a fast-paced outpatient setting with a flexible schedule and Friday afternoons off? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to work as an Adult Mental Health/Substance Use Therapist and make a difference in our community. What You Will Be Doing In addition to providing counseling, as a Mental Health/Substance Use Therapist *you will be responsible for leading a variety of groups as well as performing face-to-face clinical evaluations and assessments to make sure people receive quality services that are appropriate to their level of need. You will complete all clinical documentation within 24 hours and will have considerable knowledge of evidenced-based practices such as brief solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing. In addition, it is helpful to have knowledge in personality development, diagnosis, different treatment theories and techniques, such as insight-oriented therapy, interpersonal therapy, reality therapy, and value clarification. You'll have a *flexible schedule with Friday afternoons off!
What We Require You will be a Master's level licensed professional *with a minimum of *one year of experience, two years strongly preferred. You will have extensive knowledge of the DSM V diagnostic criteria, co-occurring disorders, substance use disorders, evidence-based and promising practice interventions, and familiarity with psychotropic medications, experience with involuntary hospitalization procedures and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will have one of the following professional licensures: LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, or LLPC.
