SAIC Intelligence Operations Specialist in KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany

SAIC is seeking an Intelligence Operations Specialist to support the US Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AFAMS) program at the US Air Forces Europe / Air Forces Africa (U-A) Warfare Center (UAWC) in Kaiserslautern, Germany. AFAMS is the premier agency responsible for implementation, integration, and development of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) standards that support the US Air Force, Department of Defense, and mission partners facilitating all-domain warfighter training across the full spectrum of conflict.

The role of this position is to provide intelligence operations expertise to facilitate the delivery of tactical and operational level training to US, allied, and partner-nation warfighters spanning the United States European Command (USEUCOM) and United States Africa Command (USAFRICOM) Areas of Responsibility (AOR).

The Intelligence Operations Specialist will:

  • Provide Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) / intelligence operations support to Tier 1-4 exercises. This includes, but is not limited to, large force employment exercises integrating joint, allied, and partner nations’ forces in the air, land, sea, space, and cyberspace domains; and smaller events exercising specific capabilities.

  • Develop scenario background, adversary courses of action, order of battle, and Integrated Air Defense System designs for incorporation into UAWC-sponsored or supported Tier 1-4 training / exercise events.

  • Generate mission materials related to training scenarios. This includes, but is not limited to, ISR operations guidance and directives, joint targeting materials, adversary threat updates, Comprehensive Preparation of the Operational Environment production, and other documents relevant to major joint air, ground, and maritime operations.

  • Prepare, coordinate, and deliver scenario road-to-war and intelligence briefings.

  • Perform White / Blue / Red Force functions during execution of Tier 1-4 exercises and training events with virtual and constructive models. Effectively interact with ISR, Targeting, Battle Damage Assessment, Information Operations, Air Operations Center (AOC), and Distributed Common Ground System areas within the tactical and operational environments with minimal supervision.

  • Create intelligence briefings and / or conduct research relevant to current and emerging threats in the USEUCOM and USAFRICOM AORs.

  • Provide ISR expertise to M&S developers and technical experts, support academics development and delivery, and advise on real-world ISR processes.

Qualifications

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • Must be US Citizen and possess Active US Top Secret / SCI security clearance.

  • Bachelor's and 9 yrs, Master's and 7 or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.

  • Experience managing or conducting ISR operations at the unit, AOC, or Combatant Command level.

  • High level of proficiency using MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.

Desired Experience/Qualifications :

  • Experience in the European Theater of Operations (ETO) developing and / or exercising theater operations plans and contingency plans.

  • Experience working with diverse allied and partner nations.

  • Experience on a General/Flag Officer staff conducting analysis & planning, preparing decision papers & briefs, and engaging in technical and operational discussions with high-ranking military and government officials.

  • Experience providing intelligence support to combat aircrew training and / or operations.

Expected Salary Range (highly dependent on candidate qualifications):

· $110,000 - $160,000/year
