Description
Robert Half has an exciting opportunity for an IT Compliance Manager in Jurupa Valley, CA. The position entails overseeing a spectrum of IT compliance tasks, encompassing the administration of System Security Plan (SSP), Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM), and adherence to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). Additionally, the IT Security Specialist will be instrumental in conducting risk assessments, implementing mitigation strategies, and contributing to the formulation of policies and procedures
Responsibilities:
Spearhead all IT compliance efforts, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and company goals.
Develop and update SSPs to outline security measures for IT systems.
Address identified vulnerabilities and deficiencies in IT systems through effective management of POAMs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of compliance tasks.
Conduct IT controls testing in adherence to applicable regulations.
Facilitate SOX compliance audits and reviews by collaborating with internal and external auditors.
Conduct risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks and vulnerabilities.
Implement strategies and controls to mitigate identified risks.
Keep abreast of regulations pertaining to data security and compliance standards.
Ensure IT and data management practices comply with relevant requirements.
Establish and document IT and data management processes for consistency and efficiency.
Provide training and assistance to staff members on IT asset management, data governance, and compliance.
Evaluate risks associated with IT and data assets, including vulnerabilities, threats, and potential impacts.
Requirements
• 6+ years of experience in IT Security, with a preference for experience in industries such as Oil & Gas.
• Thorough knowledge and expertise in Cyber Security are necessary.
• Essential familiarity with SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and regulations.
• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification is a must-have.
• Proficiency in utilizing and comprehending NIST 800-53 security controls is essential.
• Capable of identifying and addressing potential system threats and vulnerabilities.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to perform effectively under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for conveying intricate IT security concepts to non-technical individuals.
• Demonstrated capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
• A dedication to continuous professional growth within the dynamic realm of IT security.
• Proven history of managing multiple tasks while adhering to strict deadlines.
• Upholds strong ethical principles and maintains a high level of integrity.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required.
• Must possess legal authorization to work without requiring sponsorship.
