Bridget Killen with Robert Half is seeking an experienced Administrative Manager with a passion for organization, strategic thinking, and a knack for managing financial details. A leading retail store is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Manager to join the team and play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our business while handling bookkeeping responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all administrative functions, ensuring the store operates efficiently.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.

  • Utilize Spruce software to manage bookkeeping tasks and generate financial reports.

  • Monitor budgets, prepare financial statements, and provide insights to improve efficiency and profitability.

  • Develop and implement administrative systems and processes to streamline operations.

  • Supervise and support administrative staff, fostering a collaborative and professional work environment.

  • Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal regulations related to financial and administrative functions.

  • Provide exceptional customer service and address questions about transactions or accounts when necessary.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar administrative or bookkeeping role, ideally in a retail or small business setting.

  • Proficiency in Spruce Software is REQUIRED; familiarity with its features such as accounting, inventory, and point-of-sale tools is a plus (Source: Expertise in Finance Technology Solutions).

  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and processes, including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Leadership experience

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and customers.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or a related field preferred but not required with equivalent experience.
