We are seeking Machine Operators for our facility in Junction City, KS. As a Machine Operator, you are an essential worker responsible for inspecting, packaging, and handling products from their assigned machines. This includes identifying and separating defects, ensuring packaging is erected and that the product is packed according to work instructions or other documentation in compliance with company standards and specifications. You will need to operate equipment and machinery in a safe and efficient manner, work on a timeline, and adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

This position potentially includes the operation of multiple pieces of equipment Conveyors Systems, Splicers, Sorters, Tape Machines, Forklifts and Pallet Jacks.

· Ability to work in varied environments.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Forklift certified, a plus.

· Lift products and boxes weighing up to 50lbs.

· Have your own or ability to acquire steel toe boots.

· Individuals must be willing to work as a team member.

This is a 2nd shift position - Machine Operator

Hours - 1:30pm to 10:00pm with potential overtime

Payscale - $17.00/hour with a $.75/shift differential

Screenings Required - Background Check, Drug Screening and Valid Drivers License required

Responsibilities

Job Duties

• Ensure a safe work environment in the plant and observe all safety rules and regulations

• Identify, eliminate, and/or communicate any unsafe conditions

• Assures quality is maintained at its highest level, reporting all abnormal conditions to the plant manager

• Ensure that product packaging specifications are followed

• Perform basic visual quality checks

• Move rolls of Processed Master Rolls to the Rewind area, and load rolls onto hand carts.

• Load Master Rolls onto Rewind machine, start and adjust the machine, and load Core Loader.

• Use fork truck for various operations.

• Make minor adjustments and replace defective parts on the Rewind machine.

• Minimum of 1 year in a Manufacturing position.

Hours for 2nd - 1:30 pm – 10:00 pm.

Pay: 17.00 per hour with $.75 shift differential for 2nd shift.

The essential functions of this role include:
