A Day in the Life

“In this exciting role as a Technician II, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment’s. The Structural Heart Business is one of the fastest-growing businesses, helping valve replacement patients across the globe. This role reports to the Engineering Supervisor and oversees and directs the work of a team of skilled technicians and engineers.”

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.

  • Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.

  • Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.

  • Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.

  • Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.

  • Read, interpret, and use drawings, electrical and control circuit diagrams, equipment, and schematic manuals as reference when performing control, mechanical and electrical works.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience

Nice to Have

  • Associate degree in electronics or industrial electromechanics

  • Multi-tasking is an essential part of the position.

  • Team experience

  • Medical Device background

  • Experience troubleshooting semi and fully-automated systems including test, assembly, and other process equipment.

  • Basic knowledge of pneumatics and electro-pneumatics, instrumentation, laser, vision system, electric motors, PLC and electricity principles.

  • Experience in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • Basic knowledge of computer repair/programming.
