Position Summary:
Arkansas State University seeks an innovative, open minded, and forward thinking individual to join our payroll team and serve as the payroll services coordinator. The coordinator is responsible for ensuring that accurate and appropriate employee withholding's are established for employees
Duties & Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain appropriate employee withholding's related to benefits and taxes for all employees
Establish and maintain payroll direct deposit accounts and bank cards as necessary to process employee remuneration
Perform calculations to appropriately complete withholding's as needed and enter within the Human Resource Information System (HRIS)
Collect and maintain information related to hours worked, and verify accuracy of information
Calculate overtime hours worked as needed
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of federal and state requirements related to payroll requirements
Working knowledge of payroll fundamentals
Proficient in MS Office and excellent knowledge of excel software
Ability to utilize payroll software with efficiency and accuracy
Ability to work with various software databases
Must have ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to provide exceptional customer service
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Effective Communicator
General Days/Hours:
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed

Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of a High School Diploma
Two (2) years of experience in a related area
