Staff Pro Electrical/Mechanical Technician in Johnson City, Tennessee

Job Profile and Description

The EandA-Tech will apply skills, knowledge, and experience in the electrical/instrumentation and mechanical areas to prevent downtime and provide repairs to resume production as needed. The position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and will include projects, down time trouble shooting and repairs. Must be able to work with other electrical and/or mechanical technicians.

Duties, Responsibilities, Skills and Qualifications

Read Isometric and ladder type electrical drawings.

  • Know basic electrical codes.
  • Understand motor controls.
  • Understand Factory Power Distribution
  • Understand PLC Controls and Ladder Logic Programming
  • Must be mechanically inclined to provide support for mechanical maintenance.
  • Understand industrial safety, PPE, electrical/mechanical Lock Out/Tag Out and Arc-Flash Protection
  • Install, maintain, modify and repair electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment.
  • Remain in compliance with basic electrical codes.
  • Complete work orders as assigned, taking instruction from other maintenance and production team members.
  • Must be schedule flexible to allow overtime and weekend hours as needed, agreeable to weekend shift.
  • Must be able to occasionally work at heights, utilizing forklifts, scissor lifts, Ladder Handling Safety, etc.
  • Willing to work in extreme temperatures on occasion as needed.
