ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a CBRE Union Engineer, you will be a part of a team responsible for preventative maintenance and corrective repairs in a Data Center operation. Oversight of electrical and mechanical systems, including but not limited to: Universal Power Supply (UPS) systems, generators, chillers, Electrical Distribution, HVAC systems, Building Management Systems (BMS) systems, and CMMS Work Dispatching. Local 68

Shift Monday-Friday 11pm-7am

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Perform daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering (M&E) systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance. Under close supervision, complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures in accordance with CBRE's Environment, Health and Safety Policy - ensuring all safety processes and PPE requirements are followed. Also, ensure all regulatory requirements and quality standards are met. Oversee third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with CBRE's developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws/regulations. Accompany vendors on site visits on an as needed basis, and ensure site standards are met. Help create and develop work processes, Job Hazard Analysis reports, and SOPs for critical work with risk assessment. Ensure that CERM documents and logbooks are updated. Complete all required training in order to ensure successful completion of all job-related responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

High School Diploma/GED required, with 5 years of experience in mechanical or electrical engineering, preferred. Knowledge of emergency response/standby/call out activities and protocols. Strong background in either HVAC or Electrical, preferred.

EPA Clean Air Section 608 Required

Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of up to 50 lbs.

Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.

Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.

The pay range for this position is subject to an applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. The negotiated rate for the Union Engineer position is 43.97 $ per hour. Please refer to the Collective Bargaining Agreement regarding pay scale
