The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Hiring for a Sr. Business Strategy & Management Director level professional with deep expertise as well as analytical thinking and iterative problem-solving skills. The Business Strategy & Management Director is an experienced trusted advisor who can set strategies and execute. An ideal candidate can comfortably manage a portfolio of complex programs and processes; contribute to leadership discussions on strategy, budget, and talent; and make sound decisions that drive successful outcomes for the company. In the process, he/she will have exciting opportunities to grow as a thought leader and see your contributions have a tremendous impact on the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Definition of multi-year strategic objectives, metrics and goals-setting, and tracking/reporting for executive scorecards.

  • Management of a reporting automation team, and proactive identification of and delivery against reporting efficiency opportunities across ITA.

  • Curation and execution of ITA reporting metrics and tracking (e.g., strategic, monthly/quarterly executive scorecard, daily flash reports, etc.).

  • Oversight for reporting and packaging for Executive, Management Committee, Regulatory, and/or Board materials

  • Management of executive routines for ITA, including preparing for and running Forums and Management Committees.

  • Curation and development of communication channels (intranet, emails, newsletters)

  • Employee engagement oversight including proactive planning as well as reactive response to feedback from employees (surveys, listening session, intranet feedback)

  • Oversight of the Technology intern program, including recruiting a diverse candidate pipeline to ensuring a positive intern experience

  • Vendor and stakeholder liaison to develop technical, business and leadership training program paths and review to reflect the organization's evolving training needs "

Required Experience:

  • 15+ years working in leadership positions within Financial Services, and minimum 10 years in a managerial position within Technology (both in strategic and execution roles) with fiscal responsibility for large programs or departments

  • 10+ years’ experience in planning and executing employee engagement

  • Hands-on technical experience in an engineering or software solutioning role involving large and disparate data source systems (specific experience with data analyses/data visualization tools preferred)

  • Ownership over creating and presenting Board-level materials, delivering /reporting across a corporate function, and running chartered forums and committees

  • Recruiting and developing junior talent pipeline experience a plus

  • Experience translating enterprise strategic imperatives to multi-year strategic plans for a technology organization and defining appropriate metrics and milestone goals to achieve these objectives.

  • Strong general manager with ability to prioritize, plan, and execute business initiatives, related metrics and reporting, resources, governance, and routines to enable improved business performance.

  • Foundational background in technology and business roles to understand and debate/challenge alignment of demand from both business and technology stakeholders to organization goals and help set priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to utilize data to continually identify opportunities for improvement, solutions, and execute.

  • Strong management skills, excellent communication skills, both oral & written, and ability to interact with all levels of management.

  • Deeper technical experience to guide engineering resources on data sourcing, data analyses, system integrations, and data visualization tools.

  • Demonstrated track record of delivering positive results in project work within the technology function of an organization, including high quality implementations within timeframe and budgetary constraints

  • Good consensus-builder; able to drive large scale initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups, work through obstacles and remove barriers.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and diverse projects including analytical thinking, planning, prioritizing, problem solving, decision making and managing programs that impact the entire organization.

  • Analyze and implement effective training programs that align with the organization's goals and objectives and facilitate reviews with stakeholders

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Business/Management, Finance or Technology related fields.

  • Equivalent work experience equally preferable.

Other Qualifications:

  • As per MUFG’s Location & Return to Office Strategy policy, must work onsite for 4 days and 1 day remotely out of either our New York, NY or Jersey City, NJ.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $200K - $250K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
