Lead Intelligence, Inc. (d/b/a Jornaya) seeks a Data Engineer in Jersey City, NJ. (telecommuting permitted)Duties:Transform big data into the fuel that drives Jornaya’s cutting edge products. Design, develop, and maintain structures, pipelines, and transformations for Jornaya’s Data Lake and other key components that comprise our data platform. Collaborate with data scientists to implement algorithms and models supporting Jornaya’s identity graph and event classification processes. Work with product owners to develop both the roadmap for data-oriented products and the short-term goals for the team. Optimize queries and transformations for fast data retrieval minimizing processing time on large data sets. Triage or analyze data defects and propose solutions to rectify issues. Proactively research potential data issues to ensure data quality. Telecommuting is permitted. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering or related field; plus 5 years of Data Engineer or related experience. Requires 5 years of experience in the following:- Data engineering.Requires 3 years of experience in the following: - Big data engineering; - Proposing and designing scalable and maintainable data models; - Building data processing systems with a programmatic approach using Python, Scala, and/or Java;- Building data processing systems using Apache Spark and PySpark; - CI/CD pipelines including Jenkins; - AWS Services; - Querying tools: Athena, Redshift, or Hive; - Version control tools: Gitlab.Telecommuting permitted.Benefits offered include health, vision, and dental plans; 401K program with employer matching; pre-tax transit, parking, and health savings account options; telemedicine; flexible spending accounts; life and disability insurance; global well-being and thrive wellness programs; employee stock purchase plan; legal services; and more$130,576 to $145,000 per year.
