About the role

AIG is looking for a driven individual to join the Business Intelligence Delivery within the Data Office. Our Global BI team partners with Claims and Personal Insurance businesses to deliver solutions that combine data across the organization to enable high-level strategic action. The Business Intelligence Delivery Senior Associate will be expected to lead projects independently and develop and implement BI solutions.

What you need to know:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Design and build end to end data flows and BI solutions/dashboards using modern technologies and adhering to enterprise standards. This includes but not limited to data mapping, data cleansing, data transformation and building enterprise level BI solutions in Tableau/PowerBI.

  • Ensure SDLC processes related to analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance are followed for all application changes. Familiarity with application change management process, data governance and compliance requirements.

  • Identify opportunities for standardization, increased efficiency, cost reduction, increased quality, compliance, and improved user experience.

  • Maintain close working relationship with various IT partners and functional groups for dashboard development, deployment, ongoing refresh, and access provisioning. Serve as the process owner.

  • Triage a wide range of data issues, perform research and analysis required to determine root cause, and work with respective IT and Business teams for remediation.

  • Document and communicate technical specifications to wider team to ensure that proper and optimized techniques, queries, and final deliverables are understood and incorporated into data and analytics processes.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of IT industry best practices, technologies, architectures and emerging technologies.

    What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, or Data Analytics working with large data sets across a range of sources.

  • BS Degree preferably in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, or Engineering or equivalent work experience.

  • Tableau experience required (certification preferred), with strong data visualization skills and ability to translate data and its meaning to all stakeholders. PowerBI experience preferred.

  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL and reporting application development using leading databases like Snowflake, Oracle, MS SQL is required; Experience in handling large data warehouse is required.

  • Experience in Agile environment, ability to maintain requirement artifacts in Agile central tools and ability to break complex projects into sizable deliverable that can be delivered within given iteration.

  • Insurance or financial services industry knowledge preferred.

  • Ability to create strong relationships and work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders in our GDW journey and drive value for end users.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and with changing priorities.

  • Strong work ethic and ability to take on new tasks. Well organized with strong attention to detail.

• For positions based in Jersey City, NJ the base salary range is $72,000-$90,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
