job summary:

An Electrical & Automation Engineer is needed for the world's largest food and beverage company in the Jefferson, WI area. The Electrical & Automation Engineer oversees electrical, controls, and automation engineering for capital projects, providing technical leadership, supporting project execution, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

  • Lead electrical, controls, and automation engineering and design for capital projects.

  • Execute electrical, controls, and automation engineering and design deliverables.

  • Develop scopes of work for capital projects and create requests for proposal (RFP).

  • Provide oversight and technical support for engineering and design deliverables.

  • Support responses to requests for information (RFIs) and construction closeout activities.

  • Provide technical coaching and training to engineering resources and consultants.

  • Support the review and approval of project drawings and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests.

Skills:

  • Experience with large, multi-million dollar capex projects.

  • Essential skills include autonomy, communication, PLC and HMI/SCADA competency, safety system design, PC operating systems, and industrial networking.

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and interpret control schematics.

  • Beneficial familiarity with power distribution, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Adobe Acrobat, and Siemens PLC design.

Education and Experience:

  • Have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field and 5+ years of experience, or

  • An Associates Degree and 7+ years of experience in control systems design.
