The Senior Global Trade (GT) Specialist – Technology Manager shall support all business functions of our Advanced Structures Global Trade Program. This individual will be responsible for providing classification expertise including issuing classification guidance, providing regulatory interpretation, support to investigations, and executing classification strategies. The individual will ensure consistency of Technology Management (TM) practices and guidance to Colins Landing Systems sites in Poland and will interpret and execute Global Trade policies and procedures for the Technology Management function.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support daily tactical Technology Management processes
Jurisdiction and Classification (JC) and Harmonized System (HS) subject matter expert for Advanced Structures commodities, technical data, technology, and software
Ability to grow and sustain the JC focal network programs
Monitor past due requests and inactive classifiers within xClass to drive quality and on-time delivery
Help to promote export control awareness by providing guidance and JC training
Perform export and import audits, classifier audits, and reclassification driven audits
Develop, support, and implement Technology Management related initiatives
Drive collection of Technology Management data and analysis for Dashboard metrics
Provide support to site functional teams regarding technology marking, technology transfer methods, international travel, reporting and other administrative requirements for compliance
Works with other members of Global trade Team on joint projects and issues of common interest
Support ERP System, including GTS (Global Trade Solution), and other systems (xClass, Texport, International Travel workflow, etc.)
Travel up to 5%, domestic and international
Basic Qualifications:
Master’s degree in international trade or technology and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
Have at least 3 years’ experience in export control in Aerospace and Defense industry.
Experience with the Polish and EU export control regulations, especially with the Polish munition list and the EU list of Dual Use items
Must have a sound technical knowledge and experience of Aerospace product.
Ability to analyze and apply regulations to various export and import business processes and functions.
Expertise in Polish Jurisdiction and Classification (JC)
Ability to apply program management skills and timelines to address issues to ensure best in class practices.
Capability to work within a fast-paced team environment
Strong writing and communications skills, and proficiency in Microsoft 365 Office applications
Advanced in English min. B2 level
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years export experience in the aerospace industry
Experience with SAP/GTS or other ERP application
Experience with the US export regulations (ITAR/EAR)
Ability to classify for the US Export Regulations
