Actalent Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Janesville, Wisconsin

Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and lead projects involving the design and development of mechanical/electrical assembly and test processes. The successful candidate will spearhead continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing safety risks, enhancing process ergonomics, and improving cost-efficiency and quality. Key responsibilities include developing tooling and procedures, implementing new technology, and collaborating on New Product Introduction (NPI) process development. You will also assist in the physical operation of equipment, engage with production personnel at all levels, and work with leadership to develop long-term plans and strategies.

Hard Skills

  • Metal fabrication

  • Optimized Nesting, Laser & Plasma Cutting, Brake Presses & Panel Bending, Punch Presses, CNC Milling, Lathes & Drilling, Certified Welding (Mig, Tig, Stick, Robotic, Spot, Bluco), Powder Coating

  • Lean 5S & Kaizen events

  • Inventor 3D software

  • Experience with NPI

  • Experience with UL regulations

  • Knowledge of Balance of Plant solutions & related initiatives (BoP)

Soft Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical engineering drawings

  • Identifies product and process cost reductions

  • Ability to drive process discipline
